James Harris Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Under a Heliohost website is there a way to allow multiple people to - each have his own userid or account within the website - manage his own password - protect files from other users while still allowing them to add pages to the website? I can see that each person could have a separate FTP userid but I can't see any way for FTP users to change their own passwords. James
jje Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 You could make something very similar to this using PHP. It could be complicated to make though, and could be quite consuming. You might want to use a pre-made script if one is available.
Wizard Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 That's kind of what CMS are for. Have you tried CMS software like joomla, drupal, or wordpress?
Guest Geoff Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I would recommend drupal for something like this.
James Harris Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 I would recommend drupal for something like this. Thanks to everyone for the answers. I can see I have to read up on CMSs. I'll try drupal first. James
