myscrnnm Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 There are countless brands of mobile phones to choose from in today's market, but which brand makes the best mobile phones?
nilayz Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I am currently using a Nokia phone and its pretty good. I used to earlire use a Siemens and that was good too... just didn't have enough battery backup. Earlier Motorola phones used to have the worst battery backups... but now they are improving. I usually look for battery backup, features and voice clarity in a cell phone. Its really hard to say if any single brand is good... because a Nokia might be good as an entry-level phone, but if you move higher up the price level, there are other very good phones which beats Nokia.
Snowboardalliance Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Well my Samsung was free with Cingular. But I don't like that it doesn't have a screen on the outside (it's a flip-phone) for the time and caller ID. It lacks a lot of features too, but it was free.
nilayz Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 No Caller ID?!?!? That's bad. Few days back I wrote down lines and lines of code to retrieve Caller ID information from my modem... but later realized that my modem doesn't support Caller ID!!! I'm now veeeeery angry about devices which doesn't support Caller ID.

Well, actually it only tells the name if they are in my phone already. But those are the people who usually call me so it's no big deal.
nilayz Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Ok.. so you DO have a caller id... or I would have broken your phone !!!

PhoenixFlame512 Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I voted for Sony Ericsson. I mean, Ericsson was one of the most innovative mobile phone companies to start out with, but when you add the innovation of Sony, you get a very competitive phone company.
