Don't speak with the parent host, they are a bunch of idiots. I had this conversation with one of their representatives:

Ryan: My website, spacekid.heliohost.org, is currently experiencing difficulties. I was wondering if this is a known issue or if it will be resolved shortly.

 

Logan: Could you please tell me your domain name ?

 

Ryan: spacekid.heliohost.org

Logan: Website is working

Logan: Could you elaborate the problem which you are facing ?

Ryan: I am trying to access it and FireFox brings up the standard error when it can't find the domain name.

Yep... website is working... just the Apache handler that is not.

I had another discussion with the same guy (unfortunately, I think I did something that got fate mad at me). I swear that guy was sitting there drinking a cup of coffee and laughing his head off while he was supposedly researching one of my problems. I eventually disconnected and I wish I had asked to speak with another rep/supervisor.

Ermm sorry guys. We're moving to a new server soon, so hopefully these problems won't occur nearly as often. I can only hope the new server will have the resources to hold everyone....
