When I Click button Installer Certificate , error: Error from ssl wrapper: Sorry, you must have a dedicated ip to use this feature for the user: samlphp! If you are intending to install a shared certificate you must use the username "nobody" for security and bandwidth reporting reasons. How to have a dedicated ip. My host : samlphp.heliohost.org Thanks

Ashoat Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I can give you a dedicated IP. But first: what provider are you using for your certificate? Is it self-signed?
Guest Geoff Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 You do not need a dedicated IP for most SSL certificates (their might be some exceptions)
saml Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 I am using keys (Private Keys, Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) ) of heliohost . I config key : Private Keys (KEY) Generate, view, upload, or delete your private keys. Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests. Certificates (CRT) Generate, view, upload, or delete SSL certificates. After I install SSL and error. Please to help me. Now, I can not config ssl
Ashoat Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Geoff: in general, you pretty much do. saml: if you're self-signing (using our services), you should be aware that every modern browser will highlight your site in red and warn your users from visiting your site. Are you sure you still want to do this? To use an SSL certificate correctly, you'll need to purchase one from a "trusted root" provider.
Guest Geoff Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 djbob: Since CPanel thinks we have dedicated IP's it will let us install certs w/out actually having an IP. but this only works if there is not another ssl site on the same IP
Ashoat Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I blame cPanel... this shouldn't be possible. But anyways, is there any issue still occurring in this thread, or should I close it?
