MOCKBA Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Good time of day. The my domain registrar requires that nameservers were allocated in different IP subnets of A-class (X.0.0.0 & Z.0.0.0 & X != Z). The HelioHost provides the nameservers ns1.heliohost.org [65.19.143.4] and ns2.heliohost.org [65.19.143.5] that are allocated in same IP subnet of C-class (65.19.143.0). I want to attach the secondary external nameserver to my domain zone on this reason. The external NS provider requires that one of the nameservers ns1.heliohost.org or ns2.heliohost.org allows zone transfer to they IP and has the opened UDP port 53. That is possible to do for this?
