reinderien Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Hello. First, I'd like to thank the HelioNet/HelioHost administrators for an incredible service, especially considering it's free. I'm sure there are paid hosting services that don't have this many features or this quality of technical support. It's really helped out my project testing. Currently on my site, all is well except for HTTPS. When I navigate to https://lu.heliohost.org I receive this error from Firefox: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to lu.heliohost.org. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) I've already uploaded a certificate, and a search for this error in the HelioNet forums didn't turn up anything... Any ideas what's going on here? Thanks. Actually it seems related to http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=6898 . I'll follow any advice that gets posted there.

Ashoat Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 You'll need to request a dedicated IP before your certificate works. Have you not done this yet? If not: are your certificates self-signed? If so, are you aware that every modern browser will try to prevent users from visiting your secure pages?
