Ashoat Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Are they self-signed? If so, are you aware that every modern browser will try to prevent users from visiting your secure pages?
PyonDude Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 Are they self-signed? If so, are you aware that every modern browser will try to prevent users from visiting your secure pages? It's from StartSSL, though I do not care about the browser issue for the moment. If you had some issue, it might be because I did not put intermediate server CA. I installed it now.
Ashoat Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Wait... you installed it? How did you manage to do that if I didn't grant you a dedicated IP?
Byron Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Wait... you installed it? How did you manage to do that if I didn't grant you a dedicated IP? I think it's because cpanel thinks we have dedicated ips when we really don't.
PyonDude Posted July 31, 2010 Author Posted July 31, 2010 It seems Not Working. I tried SSL Certificate checker, http://www.digicert.com/help/ but it says "No certificates were found." for pyon.tk
PyonDude Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 Hi djbob, I sniffed with Wireshark. I did https://pyon.tk/ and found the server is returning "501 Method not implemented" When I do http://pyon.tk/, it responses and see what I wrote in index.html. When I do http://pyon.tk:443, it responses and see "Ahoy! You're seeing this page because HelioHost has not gotten about to installing and configuring your account yet. " When I do https://pyon.tk/, then firefox displays "Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long" Do I need to configure something more ?
Ashoat Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 You need to do the whole thing. Private key, certificate, etc. Have you done those parts? If you did them before the dedicated IP, could you try deleting the certificate and redoing? (It might have stuck with the old IP.)
