reinderien Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Hello. For some reason it shows that lu.heliohost.org has been suspended. I'm positive that I haven't exceeded bandwidth, and I don't know of any TOS rules that I've broken. So, any idea why? Thanks.
Byron Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Escalating... Note to djbob: I saw why he was suspeneded but thought I would escalate this to you.
Ashoat Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 You were running a ssh server off a jailshell that you were never given. PS: how did you manage to do that, anyways?
reinderien Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 You were running a ssh server off a jailshell that you were never given. PS: how did you manage to do that, anyways? Haha, seriously? That's bizarre. I can tell you I didn't intend to run SSH. Some things that might have done it: - I tried to connect to SSH, before I read that it wasn't supported. (It didn't work.) - I uploaded certificates and keys with the control panel. - I've been connecting to the control panel with HTTPS on port 2083. This was an accident, and I'm sorry if it interfered with your server's operation.
reinderien Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 So... if we figure out how to disable the SSH server, could I resume development?
Ashoat Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Okay, I guess... In the future, don't run SSH servers?
reinderien Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 Okay, I guess... In the future, don't run SSH servers? I won't, though I don't know how it started in the first place. Is there any way that I can check on the server status to make sure that SSH isn't running?
