Python not working

Hello, my name is felixasimplex and the cgi on my server is not working. When I try to load test.py in my cgi-bin folder I get an internal server error. The logs say "End of script output before headers: test.py". My test.py is exactly the same as in the tutorial. I also tried creating .htaccess as said in the tutorial. I think the problem is that before everything on the server was set up I accidentally deleted the cgi-bin and as soon as I noticed I recreated it. Would it be possible to reset the setup of python on my server? If not, I would like to restore and setup the whole server again (I have everything backed up).
