athsur Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Hello, I Installed Joomla 1.5 using fantastico. when i opened it showed a lot warnings. Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for 'PDT/-7.0/DST' instead in /home/athsur/public_html/jot1/libraries/joomla/utilities/date.php on line 198 Warning: mktime() [function.mktime]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. rvt Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 athsur: Suggest looking at this tutorial which explains things quite nicely. Option 3 should work for you (I tested here and it worked). http://www.thehosthelpers.com/how-tos-tips...one-t591.0.html
Ashoat Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Did you set your timezone in your Joomla! settings correctly?
