akarui
I have a self-signed SSL certificate generated by CPanel. The next step is to have a dedicated ip address for SSL, isn't it? I am very new for this... Heliohost username: cocorli Domain: akaruiphoto.heliohost.org Thanks in advance!

Ashoat
You're aware that a self-signed certificate looks really bad, right? All modern browsers will have a splash screen recommending users to avoid your site, and will highlight the address bar in red for your site. akarui
Thank you djbob for your comment. What would you recommend? I have check Verysign first but it is very expensive...
Ashoat
GoDaddy and InstantSSL offer cheap certificates. RapidSSL has some trial program or something. CACert is a non-profit community certificate authority, but it is only in the trusted root for (most) open source OSes. They're working on getting into Firefox.
