tristan Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Would it be possible, to add shared SSL, and not use ca cert? they are untrusted. Please can you use Start SSL (www.startssl.com). Its free, and trusted.
Byron Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
Ashoat Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 You can get an SSL and we will allow you to configure it. We're aren't offering any certificates ourselves, though.
tristan Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 yesterday, my site had a problem after your ip switch, and i was told i need to re-request my dedicated ip. when my site was back up, there was already an ip there, and i had some ssl thing from your host. when i try to connect to https i get an ssl error (untrusted) and it is issued to you (hell-of-bsod.heliohost.org) signed by ca cert. Is this not shared ssl?
tristan Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 my ip is 65.19.141.68 i changed ssl to my other provider, but my website (tristan.cz.cc) still is using old ssl (hell-of-bsod.heliohost.org) HelioHost account: tristan4
Ashoat Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Well... neither did I. Maybe it's a consequence of the IP change? Anyways, do you want me to give you a dedicated IP back, or have you moved to another provider?
tristan Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 yes. please give me an IP back. p.s. its very unlikely i will switch from HelioHost, if thats what you mean by provider. p.s.s the subdomain that the cert was given to has changed for some reason. it is now alessandromenti.heliohost.org
Ashoat Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Could you decide on switching before I grant the dedicated IP? We have a limited number of these.
tristan Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 im sorry, but i can not pay for one. i will need yours, or another free one from another provider. sorry.
Ashoat Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Oops, I read your "unlikely" as "likely". My bad. Okay, you've been granted a dedicated IP.
Ashoat Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 As expected. You'll need to wait until tomorrow for the new IP to become active.
