First i would like to thank all the people how made this site happen and second i was wondering why my site (site:thegenius2009.heliohost.org, username:mrgenius) just suddenly went down for about a hour and when it came back up it gives me the account queued message but i can access my ftp and cpanel and all my files are there still i just cannot access them cause it gives me the account queued message.

Over the past few weeks this has been happening on a regular basis to me also.

My account is regularly being re-queued.

I cannot access my website, (account is re-queued.)

I cannot access cPanel, (I get cPanel installation page).

I cannot connect to my Account, (iPanel).

I cannot access the Server via FTP.

I cannot get the HelioHost home page, (cPanel installation page).

I cannot access the Forum to find out what is going on as the Server is down, (the Forum is actually hosted on the same Server would you believe?).

 

The thing is I often do not find out when this is happening because I use PopPeeper to check the Server status via e-mail, but it will connect to the e-mail account suggesting that HelioHost has found a way around negative downtime by having the Server up, but the sites hosted on it down.

 

I keep getting e-mails informing me that my account is about to expire and to login to cPanel, but I have rather given up on working on the site hosted here until the issues are resolved permanently.

 

We are not talking an hour or so, it is normally 6 hours minimum plus.

 

I logged into cPanel Saturday, shortly after all the above errors occured, while I was logged into cPanel to do some work on the site the broken connection occured and it is only yesterday that things seemed back to normal. Downtime seems to have been about three days.

 

So does anyone have an answer I wonder?

Same problem here. Then I figured out a temporary solution. The helioHost suddenly stops redirecting well to default files.

For example, My site (http://www.abhiweb.co.cc) or http://abhiweb.heliohost.org stopped working since this morning and same thing had happened yesterday for hours. But, I am able to open my sites with proper file extensions and hence "abhiweb.heliohost.org/index.php" works fine!!

 

Hope this feedback helps in sorting out the only problem i am facing in this exceptionally great service!!

 

P.S.: The same problem prevails for all domains on HelioHost. Example: helionet.org does not work but heliohost.net/index/index.php works fine during the problem phase!!

I must admit I never thought to try the file extensions.

Thanks manustays, it will be useful if we can access the Forum during downtime to find out what is happening.

should work to access the Forum.

 

No good whatsoever for people who are trying to access your site though!

thanks for the tip but when i try to go to a non default page in my site it gives me a 404 error

but i can access cpanel and ftp the only thing is that i cannot access my site

It is only showing files and two directories:

Incidentally, while you are working on this site you should create a blank index.html file for root.

Rename your index.php to index1.php or test.php.

Enter the above php file into your browser after the domain for viewing.

 

With any text editor insert:

<html><body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"></body></html>

save as index.html

 

This way all any prying eyes will see is a white page.

Thanks Stegeorge... I'll remember to try using proxy to pinpoint such problems from next time. My browser had just cached the site when a temporary server problem had occoured and thus was showing that error page Clearing the cache solved the issue!!
