syst3m Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I previously had problems accessing my cpanel, but then it randomly started working. Old Topic I am now having the same trouble while trying to access my cpanel. Every time I try to go to http://syst3m.ca:2082/ or http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/ in firefox I get "Unable to connect - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at [whichever site I tried]:2082." It stopped working after a re-installation of Windows 7. User: syst3m domain: syst3m.ca
Byron Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Sometimes when the server is under a heavy load I'm not able to login either. I just tried logging in just now and it was a little slow but it worked so try it again.
syst3m Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 I have been trying every few days or so for over a week, and it hasn't worked at all. There is no loading time, it just goes directly to the "Unable to connect" page.

Ashoat Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Your ISP is probably blocking port 2082. Try coming in through a proxy.
syst3m Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 I know port 2082 isn't blocked because it works with my previous host, just not here. I did try a proxy (phproxy script) and it worked. Is there anything else that could be causing the problem? Should I try contacting my ISP?
Ashoat Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I can't imagine what else it could other than your ISP. A proxy works and it's working from other vantage points. Perhaps your ISP changed their rules between your host switch, or they don't like our IP address.
syst3m Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 I just figured it out, I'm surprised I didn't figure it out sooner. I was using a program (PeerBlock) that blocks access to some IPs, and your IP must be on the blocked list for some reason. With the program disabled, it works fine. Thanks trying to help.
