[Solved] Forum SMF private or public

Recommended Posts

Hi Helio,

If we make a private forum and no public can see it, then we cannot convey any ill will to anybody.

Would you recommend that we set up an account for you guys so you can come in to review our forum occasionally for compliance with the terms of service agreement?

We don't want just any idiot or company to send you a DCMA notification or threat letter alleging false claims without merit, and then we get shut down without review. The instructors members of the forum just want to remain anonymous and be supported by each other to promote aquatic safety and growth of their efforts. I know it's free and you guys can do whatever you wish but we just want to know where the line is drawn and how you guys review and operate so we can best comply with the terms.

We want to host a support group for female swim instructors that have a lot to gripe about. There is no proprietary information or techniques to be revealed or infringed upon and we can submit court transcript documents to prove our claims before even setting up a forum account. The company that will attempt to silence the forum members does not employ those members, they are independent contractors and they have the right to contract them anyway they want legally. These members want freedom of speech with each other and need support. There is no warez, porno, copyright stuff, slander, defamation, or any of the sort. We will maybe link some embedded youtube reviews of children that are not correctly trained or songs.

I don't want to sound complicated but I just figure to ask before I waste your time.

Thanks and looking forward to your reply.
