HerLoss Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 I use AIM cuz it takes the least system resources, isnt butt-ugly, and kicks arse when you hack out the ads. Most of my friends use it, and I've given up on MSN. Yahoo is too slow. GAIM isnt bad, but I only use it on my linux systems.
Brandon Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I like Google Talk, but almost no one uses it that I know. If alot more people used it, I would definitely use it more often.
Ashoat Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I use AIM cuz it takes the least system resources, isnt butt-ugly, Yes it is MSN looks WAY better...
Kyougi Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 myscrnnm, alot of people use AIM. Yes it is terrible. But don't tell other people to shut up because you disagree with them. I don't care how right you think you are. If we were to go by your logic that you use whenever you are trying to prove everyone else wrong, AIM is the best IM client because so many people use it. So now I tell you this: you shut up, just because someone disagrees with you does not give you the right to insult them. Period. Like I said on KrazyLetter, he's a Communist. He thinks that only his beliefs are right, and expects others to follow along, and belittles anyone that thinks otherwise.
GameClaw_268 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 If you go by Soviet esque communism, but what communism is supposed to be about everyone has an open mind and works for the whole, like ants, or bees. Human nature destroys any possibility of it actually working, though...
HerLoss Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Well, thats if you believe what myscrnnm says about how its human nature to strive to be superior to those around you, which I think is a sack of horse [bleeped!]. Materialistic values are learned, not instinct. Instinct is to survive, and communism allows everyone to do just that, I mean, communism was working pretty well untill the democratic superpowers went all imperialistic on communism's arse.
Ashoat Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 If you go by Soviet esque communism, but what communism is supposed to be about everyone has an open mind and works for the whole, like ants, or bees. Human nature destroys any possibility of it actually working, though... The soviets technically weren't commies, they were socialists. There was only one party, it was part dictatorship, etc. I mean, communism was working pretty well untill the democratic superpowers went all imperialistic on communism's arse. Not really. Socialism failed in Russia because the economy died. Everything was pirated, nobody listened to the government, etc. People had no incentive to go to college, because they would make just as much money working at McDonalds. The government controlled all business, and sucked at it, forcing people to create too much off stuff that was not needed, or vice versa. For instance, shoes cost more than silver (not kidding). In Russia, everything is still pirated. I've been there - virtually all the vendors sell pirated CDs and DVDs. The quality of them sucks, but they cost around $1. It's almost impossible to find an original, from the original vendor.
HerLoss Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I didnt mean the then USSR specifically. China isnt doing too bad as it is, and the commie half of vietnam was all right untill we butted in.
Spaceman3750 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 The problem with socialism is that the people have no incentive. If they work hard, they get the same pay and treatment as those who don't do anything, therefore, the people don't even bother to try to get a good job or make something of themselves, because they will make the same amount of money, get the same housing, etc. as everyone else.
HerLoss Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 People will still work to do what they want to. There will still be people who are doctors, lawyers, etc. because they want to be. Show me one person who went to med-school to be a doctor but hate being a doctor. The other thing that keeps socialist/communist states going is a great feeling of pride for one's nation. The point of the setup is that everyone works for the common good, not for their own greed.
eTronicGaming Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 I'm just sticking with AIM for now, although I rarely use that now... I just use email or myspace.com for my contacting... sorry. But if you want my screenname, it's eTronicGaming.

Why do you think everyone is fleeing from Cuba? It is because of their oppressive communist government.
HerLoss Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 They are fleeing cuba because the US stopped trade with them, which killed their economy, NOT because of their government. And a communist government doesnt necessarily tell you what your job is. That is just one way to do it, and a particularly bad way at that.
