[Solved] Server problems

constant 500 server errors when uploading/editing/etc files is getting a little old, and having the server proccessor at 12+ doesnt help either.

I run a linux OS on my home desktop and I dont hardly get any problems with massive proccessor usage. But when I do I use the ssh terminal and the 'top' shell command to see what PROCCESS is using so much proccessor and what USER is using so much proccessor.

I HAVE seen (on other hostings Ive used in the past) proccessor usage similar to this. It came from persistent MySQL connections on a permanently running script. Perhaps setting persistent connections in the php.ini file to false might help this?
