Kyougi Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Well, why do you think that way? What is it that any Apple has, that any other company doesn't?
chrisp6108 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 i build my own, but if i was going to buy just a pc for internet it would be a emachine realy good units now, but if i was going to buy a pc for gaming it would be an alienware because there amazing machines
myscrnnm II Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I like Alienware (they unarguably are the best) BUT then it all lies in money Honey Dell affordable and good Build & quality IBM - gr8 support , Build & quality and affordable HP- BAD @ build quality BUT ver Good @ support I agree with all of that except for the part about Dell's build quality. I mean, they are durable enough, but they just feel cheap. And I expect HP's build quality is not the best, but it is fine.
Spaceman3750 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I have heard nightmare stories about tons of adware and stuff that come shipped with HPs... Any truth to this?
myscrnnm II Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I have heard nightmare stories about tons of adware and stuff that come shipped with HPs... Any truth to this? Well, I once had a Compaq computer that had a things slide out of the side of the screen, but besides that, the talk of adware is just anti-HP propaganda.
chrisc Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 i think hp and compaq are the best comp and laptop makers pretty much good all areound
MadGamer Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I voted other as i have an Advent now and i had one in the past. I have to say they are really good imo, and ive never had a problem with them.
myscrnnm III Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I think that dell is a good computer brand for normal stuff and apple is a good one for like video and audio. A good kind to rival Apple for video and audio is the Sony VAIO line of computers. I mean, VAIO computers were pretty much built for that purpose (hence the Video Audio Integrated Operation). Often, the stereotype is that Apple computers are for artists and such, but Sony has given Apple a good run for their money. But I guess Apple computers usually come with more bundled software for this type of stuff. And what with the specialized software for HD stuff. But in terms of hardware, Sony makes good stuff, with the HDR-FX1, the world's first consumer HD camcorder, and the HDR-HC1, the world's smallest HD camcorder.
nilayz Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I've never used a branded computer... I'm quite happy with assembled ones.
myscrnnm III Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 I've never used a branded computer... I'm quite happy with assembled ones. You should try an IBM. A fine brand with the versatility of a home made computer.

Its config is: 128mb ram 20gb hard drive Cd Rom / Floppy Drive Intel Celeron 956 Mhz Its really slow. Im getting a new computer. Thats going to be good and reasonable. Config is: 128 / 256 mb ram 40 / 80gb hard drive 2.0 / 2.6 ghz Pentium 4 D915 Motherboard
eTronicGaming Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 I go with Dells... to me there are just like the xBox to the rest of the gaming consoles... they are just my favorite. Nice, complex with simplicity, powerful, and reliable support with a good cost. -Josh
