Considering switching to Heliohost, need a question answered first

My current host won't allow me to modify the A-Record of my subdomian (I want to point my blog.mcse7en.com subdomain to my tumblr account).

 

I'm seriously considering switching to Heliohost, but first I need to make sure this is possible (otherwise I'm going through a lot of trouble switching hosts for nothing!)

Right now we cannot ensure that your account would work at all. We are experiencing problems with new account registration.

Alright, well that's fine. I actually just figured out how to do it on my other host. Thanks for the fast answer though!

 

Whoops, false alarm. My host is driving me nuts! When the new account registration problems get worked out here would what I'm trying to do be possible?

Wait... do you know what you're doing? Why would you even have to mess with A records to redirect a subdomain?

Is there another way to do it? My current host doesn't have any options at all for redirecting of any sort and Tumblr is very specific that you must use the A-record, and they said it works on subdomains.

 

I may be slightly confused. I want my regular domain pointing to the nameservers here and the blog.mcse7en.com subdomain pointing to tumblr.
