mariusm98 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I registered "fortalezarooms.com" with the registrar "domeneshop.no". I reconfigured the nameservers to read "ns1.heliohost.org" and "ns2.heliohost.org" When I enter "www.fortalezarooms.com" into my browser I get this error message: "DNS error - cannot find server" What is wrong here? sir KitKat Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Did you wait 48 hours? It could take up to 48 hours until a DNS change takes effect regards, sir KitKat Quote
mariusm98 Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 Did you wait 48 hours? It could take up to 48 hours until a DNS change takes effect regards, sir KitKat Now I have waited 48 hours, and the situation remains. Could have something to do with my failed attempts at adding fortaleza.com as an addon. I have posted a separate topic on that. The registrar insists that Heliohost's nameservers are not configured to reply on requests aimed at fortalezarooms.com. Marius Quote
mariusm98 Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 Your nameservers are configured correctly at your registrar. Do you want fortalezarooms.com to cover your entire site (parked) or as an addon (sub domain)? As I intend to manage a number of different domains (fortalezarooms.com, underekvator.no and so on) I guess the right choice is addon, although I am not entirely informed on all aspects of the two alternatives. Thanks for your reply to the other topic. I will wait a couple of days and see. Marius Quote
mariusm98 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 That would be the right choice if that is what you intend to do. Hopefully this issue will be resolved within the next 24 hours. Once I got my addons right, this problem resolved itself. Marius Quote
