[Answered] PHP 7.4 on Tommy

Hello,

 

PHP 7.4 was released 1 year and 3 months ago. But Tommy only supports up to PHP 7.3! Only security fixes are now given to PHP 7.3. See https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php. Most PHP applications nowadays such as WordPress recommend or require PHP 7.4. I would like to know when PHP 7.4 will be installed on Tommy. Thank you.

We don't usually update cPanel unless we rebuild the server since it breaks a ton of custom stuff and the last Tommy rebuild was in two years ago, so I wouldn’t expect that to happen at any time but we will add that to our TODO list for a further installation in case we decide to install. Other than that, everything will remain the same.

Thanks. I think PHP 7.4 will already be end of life when tommy is rebuilt. I look forward to seeing the upgrade.
