Enabling SQLite?

Recommended Posts

My question is so pretty simple:

How do I manage to get the SQLite databases running? As far as I know the PHP5 version that runs on this server have the SQLite option enabled by default.

I cannot see the option in cPanelX, neither in the PHP modules option. I tried to install them via pecl, PEAR with without success, I have read the documentation on cPanelX about modules, went to the PHP.net forums and documentation, rechecked the syntax on my sourcefiles, run them on my localhost (which reproduces the config @ stevie), and even tried to search the forums, which, by the way, are almost desert.

Are they still there, or I have to convert them to MySQL statements or Pg? Am I missing something? I have not too much experience on them, but the querys are pretty simple.

The only clue that I have is this:

Fatal error: Class 'SQLiteDatabase' not found in index.php on line 4

(path removed)

that renders without problem on my computer

Any help will be of some value, I am running out of ideas.

Please be gentle with poor grammar or typos, english is not my mother tongue
