Jon Grabbe Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 OK, this is odd. I previously setup a hosting account at Helionet.org and uploaded my website. However, due to various reasons, I moved my website to a different hosting site. I've changed the DNS entries at 123cheapdomains.com to point to the new host site and the requisite 24 hours have passed for this information to update. What's odd is that when I attempt to access my website from my machine using http://www.tanyasplaceonline.com, it pulls from Helionet.org, but from other machines the same URL pulls from the new hosting site. I've made unique changes to the files located on both hosting servers and so I'm certain of which host site the files are coming from. This is making it difficult for me to correctly test changes I make to my website. I am using Internet Explorer 6 and FireFox 3 for testing and the symptoms are the same with both browsers. I've also cleared out the local internet file cache. Any ideas as to what is causing this and how to correct it? The account is registered under the user name of tgrabbe.
Kyougi Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Flush your DNS cache. If that doesn't work, you might have to wait for your ISP to update their DNS servers.
Jon Grabbe Posted June 28, 2009 Author Posted June 28, 2009 Well, flushing didn't work, so I guess I'll have to wait for my ISP to update. Thanks.
Ashoat Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 It sometimes takes more than 24 hours. Try waiting another 24 hours and if the problem persists then I would recommend trying to execute a "nslookup" command from both machines and seeing what they pop up.
