Kashif Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 im really interested in making a page, which will allow visitors to upload there own image to my site, without registering or anything. they simply browse their pc and upload an image which they like. and that will be hosted by me on my site. ive been looking on the internet and can't really find anything, because i don't know what to really call this thing. if anyone could help, i would really apreciate it... thankz
Kyougi Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Sure, I guess that's my purpose in life I would direct you to KRT's site on KrazyLetter, but a few don't like him, and his site is down so... http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Scri...File_Uploading/ I reccomend Any Form V1, which is first on the list.
Spaceman3750 Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I could probably write a real simple one for you, maybye even throw in a control panel for kicks
Kashif Posted July 10, 2005 Author Posted July 10, 2005 yeah ive been looking at many scripts, all of the free ones, do the following: 1. get an image from a user 2. store it in a dolfer on my server but the third part is missing.... the whole point i want this is, so people can view the image they have just uploaded. after they upload an image, it should give them a link which they can use to make a sig, and use for other stuff. any one what i could do.... help needed please
Kyougi Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I'm pretty sure the one I suggested does so... but you could always tell people to right click and do properties =)
Kashif Posted July 10, 2005 Author Posted July 10, 2005 oh yeah... il just tell them to do that. thanks ive downloaded the file, and have opened it. it says 'your server should have cgi' does cpanel have this installed ps: might need a bit of a hand later on, so just visit this thread later.
Kashif Posted July 10, 2005 Author Posted July 10, 2005 im having trouble understanding the cgi files. isnt there a php script??
majazac Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 you can put up an image gallery and make the permissions of it be to everyone... i really like 4imags, but coppermine is more editable. You can set the permissions to everyone... don't know if it'll work, but... its a sugestion
