Wizard Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Okay, ignoring why what you did is wrong... why's it matter? Do you have an issue with your website? If not, who cares if you can't get a ping?
papukai Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Okay, ignoring why what you did is wrong... why's it matter? Do you have an issue with your website? If not, who cares if you can't get a ping? I'm also having problems to acces my site. I have flushed my dns cache. However Google has last accessed my site on 6th January. Also I noticed that my public_html folder has a permission of 700, but I changed it back to 755. Is this normal? Should all the system folders (etc,php,mail...) have a permission of 755?
Wizard Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 755 is good. We had a screwup with permissions a while back that made all the websites unviewable because the permissions were set to 700 or something.
