jailer Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I registered a co.cc domain as well as on heliohost. I set the DNS servers as ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org. My site (crashfusion.co.cc) now shows a page load error/404. Does this have anything to do with 'mega downtime' or did I do something wrong?
Byron Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 You have the correct name servers for heliohost but a nslookup on your domain name doesn't show them yet: http://www.zoneedit.com/lookup.html Go to co.cc and make sure you have the dns set properly and wait long enough for the name servers to take effect. Cheers, Byron
papukai Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 My co.cc domain isn't working too. Should I flush the dns cache (how to do it in Linux)? Or should I just wait as it seems that here were some nameserver issues with heliHost's nameserver (nobody's domain using HelioHost wasn't working at the beginning of this week) ? My isp's proxy server gives this for my domain: 504 Gateway Timeout The following error occurred: A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup. My co.cc domain is using ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org as its nameservers.
