GameClaw_268 Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Well, actually... I took a look over them again... and I noticed that the intel I'd be running on an integrated chipset for GFX... while the AMD has a Radion, and twice as much ram. So I save 50 bucks, and overall, the AMD computer will be more powerful... forgot to check those things over.
Kyougi Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Gawd man, shoulda told us the specs =) There you go, AMD for gaming, and Intel for business... I'd go for the AMD just for the Radion >.< I don't like Intel's integrated video and audio chipsets. The Intel is still faster by a margin at least, and doesn't have that "GREAT" anti-freeze-by-restarting-your-freaking-computer-whether-you-like-it-or-not-because-your-processor-is-overwhelmed.
Ashoat Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Windows XP itself is only running at 32 bit, but who knows, Longhorn might change all of that. There is a XP 64-bit edition. I have a copy of it. And Longhorn will come out both 32-bit and 64-bit I believe. Hehe, I've had a chance to play around with Longhorn, it is teh roxxors.
HerLoss Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 DJBOB! I'm shocked! You pirating little bastard! lol. Me too. Its not bad, but I'm starting to get sick of windows. Its all about everything looking good. 95/98 ROX! lol.
Ashoat Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Hey hey hey, I didn't pirate. I just have my connections, and it was completely legal I only pirate stuff I can't get legally

realityisterror Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Personally, I'd go with AMD... the 64-bit-ness is worth a decent bit to me... even if it's not useful just yet... Plus, you're supporting the little guy :-P give Intel some competition for once... They charge so much... Did I mention I'm a Mac guy? reality
Kyougi Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I just took a look at a 64bit Windows XP computer and it doesn't seem any different... just looks better =)
HerLoss Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Dude, I dont even know what the difference is between a 32 and a 64 bit program.
