I ran a search on the forum, and since I couldn't find anything to match what I'm looking for, I thought I'd ask. I signed up for a co.cc domain as suggested in the URL & Domains page. However, when I try to sign up for a HelioHost account, it shows that my domain (which I input in the form of domain.co.cc, www.domain.co.cc, and http://www.domain.co.cc is invalid. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Did you make sure to point the domain's nameservers to HelioHost? Make sure to set them to:

ns1.heliohost.org

ns2.heliohost.org

Yes, I did that several days ago (so the 48 hour time frame on changes is out of the picture), and I confirmed the name server today on www.co.cc. When signing up, I select "Other" from the drop down menu, put <domain>.co.cc (I also tried http://www.<domain>.co.cc) in the desired domain field, and type in the rest of the information. I'm unfortunately still getting the same results. What else could be at issue? Thanks!

Can you tell me what the actual domain is? Also, what is your HelioHost username?

No problem. The domain I set up with co.cc is cincinnatusjd.co.cc

I don't have a heliohost username yet, because I'm getting the error during sign-up. During sign-up, I select the "Other" option, and I have tried using http://cincinnatusjd.co.cc, http://www.cincinnatusjd.co.cc, www.cincinnatusjd.co.cc, and cincinnatusjd.co.cc, and I always get the same result. After I click submit, I get the following result:

We're sorry, but that is an invalid domain. Please go back and correct it.

Thanks for all of the help so far!

+EDIT+

Here is a screenshot of the server information on the domain:

Turns out I forgot to finish programming the "Other" domain in the signup script. Try again now, it should work.

This time I got further along! I submitted the form with the username JD201, and the page went along to another page, but it was blank below "Signup." I typed in my username and password, but it brought up "login failed" (and I triple confirmed the username and password with my own logs). Did it get locked up half way through the process? I know it went through somewhat, because when I attempted to resubmit, and it said the username and domain had already been taken. Thanks for the continued assistance. They say the more you anticipate, the more you enjoy the end result; I hope 'they' are right!

Your account needs to be validated before it will be active. Until then, you will not be able to login and your URL will display a suspended message. After validation, make sure you type your username in lowercase (ie. jd201, not JD201).
