r0nmlt Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I have tried using tommy's SMTP server for my outgoing mail using Microsoft Outlook. I did follow the settings given but it still won't send mail. These are the settings that are suggested: Outgoing Server: mail.fcs.com.mtSMTP Port: 587 Nslookup resolves mail.fcs.com.mt to 64.62.151.106 which is my dedicated IP, so up to there it is all well. The error reported by Outlook 2007 is "None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your servers." Upon a quick search on google I found: https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/none-of-the-authentication-methods-supported-by-this-client-are-supported-by-your-server.601779/ Thanks in advance.
r0nmlt Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 I know you guys are busy and maybe this got overlooked. Thanks
r0nmlt Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Ok solved it with Krydos help on discord. When setting up outlook (I still use 2007 and it works for what I do), on the "Outgoing Server" tab, choose "Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail". HTH
