Upnor Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 What it says on the title. Some details:I already have an account registered here on the forums. Unfortunately no matter what I did, I was unable to log in (tried resetting my password and using different browsers but no luck). I registered this new account because of that. I had a HelioHost account on the Tommy server (username upnor); obviously after the hard disk failure and whatnot I had to re-register. Everything was going well until I actually wanted to log into cPanel. It wouldn't accept my password, even though it very clearly is valid since the main login page at heliohost.org does let me log in with it. In any case, I tried typing it very carefully and resending it many times; I wasn't able to log in, and after all the retries my IP got blocked.Of course I would like my IP address unblocked, but I also would like to ask for assistance with the following (don't know if I can actually ask for help on this same thread but I don't want to spam either);Could this new forum account be associated now to my HelioHost account (username upnor)? I was unable to log into the old one no matter what I tried, so I guess it could be deleted and this one could be linked to my account instead. Any ideas why would my registered password work on the heliohost.org log in page but not in the cPanel page? Thanks.
Luigi123 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 What I can do is I will reset your password manually and send a temporary password to your email address associated with your Tommy account and you can change it inside cPanel. For your Helionet Account, I’m just going to leave it for our root admin to handle this. Would you like me to reset your password of your hosting account? EDIT: I have also unblock your IP address.
Upnor Posted October 1, 2019 Author Posted October 1, 2019 Thank you for the speedy reply and the unblocking Luigi123.Your suggestion of resetting my password reminded me that I had a similar issue back in 2016. Trying out Krydos' suggestion worked for logging into cPanel; it seems like it broke the HelioHost log in (so now the issue's reversed: logging into cPanel directly works but the HelioHost page doesn't). I don't particularly mind though since it looks like I can do most of the things that the HelioHost page can do through cPanel but I mention it in case someone might want to look into that.As for the HelioNet account, I would appreciate assistance from the root admin. Do I open a new thread for that or can you split it from this one for me?Thanks again.
Luigi123 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 So are you able to logged in to cPanel? Yes, you need to create a new topic for a request.
Upnor Posted October 2, 2019 Author Posted October 2, 2019 Yes, cPanel login works fine now. Thanks for the help. I'll make the other topic.
