Today we have put together a head to head comparison which includes the new Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 and the triple-core AMD Phenom X3 8450. These two processors cost less than $150 US and are both capable of delivering a considerable amount of performance, the question is which one should you buy?

Three core processors are retarded... just my opinion. Also I would stick with Intel, while the AMD supossedly have better performance the Intel processors far out shine the AMD's in benchmarks.

I prefer AMd, because at same cost with amd we have 3 cores > 2 cores with intel. In my opinion, more core is faster... :D

More cores does not necessarily mean faster...

Just means better multitasking, (ie servers etc)

So if you're a one-window person 2 core is as good as 3 core.

I wonder though, why 3 cores?
