I use GOM for video and Winamp for music.

Media player classic from K-lite mega codec package for EVERYTHING. vlc as secondary should mpc have an error (only once it had a problem).

Although I have a lot of media players installed they came with my laptop, I dont use all of them.

 

For music I use iTunes, simply because I like the way everything is sorted and it looks nice.

For videos I only use Media Player Classic CCCP. <= Plays just about every single video format except .rmvb, but then I just use MPlayer or RealPlayer for those.

I pretty much stick to VLC for video when I'm on Windows or Linux.

 

On Windows I use foobar2000 for music; on Linux I use MPD.

I have the same problem too.

 

Is there a media player that can take screenshots in gif format? I want to make animated gifs but its a hassle to convert pngs or jpegs to a gif format all the time.

I use CCCP for videos and foobar2000 for music. I think foobar2000 is the best for music playback. It doesnt use system resources at all (well, almost..) I recommend usage with an online lyric finder

I use realplayer for media audiobut its so slow because of my anti virus, and nero showtime for video. I have to say I want to try out VLC.

That's one I haven't used for ever. I run from ram rm and what ever else they use now.

Windows Media player is the best. With Visual Studio I can deveolpe extensions so fast

I would have thought iTunes would be more popular, seeing as ipods are everywhere these days.

VLC is best for vids.

For music, I like Rhythmbox and Amarok

I was just wondering what type of media players you guys use. I use VLC.

 

Well I use WinAmp most of the time. However I also have Itunes because of my Ipod.
