As an addition to the "What kind of instrument do you play" topic, I thought it would be cool

to see what kind of music you guys like to play.

If you read in the other topic you know that I play the guitar... and I love to play rock!

I can't pick a certain style though, I love to play rock from the legends such as Led Zeppelin and

Blue Oyster Cult to the awesome Avenged Sevenfold.

Anyways, what about you guys?

I have a keyboard and even though I am terrible I like to mimic most techno songs that like.

SOAD and other heavy metal

Do you play any Avenged Sevenfold?

Or would you not consider them metal... Hmm, I never thought about it...

Would they be considered metal?

I listen to mostly rock, rap, and pop. It sort of varies with my mood. Various types make me feel differently than others. I can't believe the money that is in the music industry it insane.

Well, how many people go to a single concert? I think talented bands can live off the money that is generated at

every concert they play at. Especially if the bands play somewhere food or refreshments are sold. If the band gets a cut

of all of the money spent at food stands, they'll make a killing off of alcohol alone.

okay i havn't played any instruments in the last 2 years. But when I was younger, i started with the recorder. Then I went to Clarinet..the I tried the guitar for like 2 months. And then I just stuck with singing. I have sung in over 2 years in front of a crowd.

That's awesome; haha, didn't everyone play the recorder when they were younger, I know I did.

As is it, I'm playing guitar at a coffee shop this upcoming Saturday, so I'm really excited!

Singing? Like in choir or in a band?

If I were to guess, it would be either a choir or solo... I don't know why though...

I guess it's not really "playing" the music, but I write / compose / arrange music... usually ambient-ish downtempo, but I have a wide range of musical interests. Something about downtempo just makes me feel good deep down inside. It's smooth, classy, modern, and totally countermainstream. I love it.

Well, instead of "playing" the music, do you "sing" the music you write?

I have a lot of respect for people who can legitimately write and compose music. To me it just

seems like an art that requires a rare skill to master.
