Master Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I noticed that the server load has stayed around 20-30...which according to the cPanel status page. Is there a reason for this? Server Load 25.61 (1 cpu) Memory Used 36.2 % Swap Used 0.04 % Disk /dev/hda2 (/) 31 % Disk /dev/hda1 (/boot) 9 % This has resulted in quite a few slowdowns on my forums and overall site.
Ashoat Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Really? Is this recent? I'm displayed a far more acceptable server load (about 3). Does this happen daily around 1 PM?
AverageJoe Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 At -5:00 GMT I got this: Server Load 4.43 (1 cpu) *red light Memory Used 35 % Swap Used 0.13 % Disk /dev/hda2 (/) 31 % Disk /dev/hda1 (/boot) 9 % I'm getting a red light as well. Hope that helps out a little. Joe
Ashoat Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 4.43 isn't too bad. cPanel likes to give lots of red lights when the CPU load is around 2%. Easiest way to measure server load is to test page load time.
Master Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 That usage was around 4 PM EST...it might be lower at some points during the day. I don't notice too much of a slowdown, but it's noticeable.
