Anyone know of a free script in which I can allow people to simply post text on, to be seen by others? For example, if person a gets a message on their computer, they can post it for person b to see?

 

I will give some helions in gratitude to anyone who finds just such a script.

Yes but I was kind of hoping for some pre-made templates, and syntax highlighting for a variety of languages.

What good are pre-made templates they are never exactly what you want

You can also download the syntax highlighting part on the example page that you provided!

 

I made a 5 second one if you want it although it only works for html and it has no layout or colours just the basics, a text box, a go button and then the end result all on one page.

 

Remember rename it to .php and if you are going to change the file name also edit the link inside the code!
