What Internet Brower Do You like Best

Just wanted to know what browser you you or like the best?

FF, simple, efficient.

Konqueror. Good old Linux + KDE has never failed me. When on someone else's computer, I carry around FF on a keydrive.

Me too, I just ahve a small 512MB drive of simple things like that. I will get linux soon. What is Konqueror like? I know KDE.

Konqueror is pretty slim, acts like a file manager as well as a internet browser, much like IE, only more useful and without the spyware. =P

 

I recommend it alongside FF, which I also have on this PC. K seems to run faster, though.

I prefer Opera anywhere, on any OS. I only use Konqueror when too lazy to open the browser

Yes, I suppose Opera is pretty good up there. The only problem is that I found it hard to use some sites that require either an ActiveX object or a Firefox plugin. Even if you mask as Firefox, it still won't work!

 

It's probably the only reason I keep FF around, honestly.

Hah, ActiveX? I runs teh Linux, there's no running ActiveX anyways. I haven't seen a site yet that requires a Firefox plugin.

 

I've never seen the sense in running a GTK browser in a QT environment, so I don't bother keeping it around.

Of all the browsers I have used I like Mozilla Firefox the most. Opera doesn't have a logo in my list of programs ('Open with...') and Internet Explorer 6 doesn't display things correctly (png's, div's) and runs all kinds of annoying scripts. It used to be my favorite browser though, when I still had Windows ME (awful OS) where it was still integrated with Windows Explorer. Firefox was a major improvement... Tabbed browsing, add-ons, skins (I never make use of this option, but at least it's there if I would want it), built in popup blocker, better search, standard Google search... For me, no other browser can beat that.

lol safari...i tried it on windows and uninstalled it a week later...kept on crashing. and at least it could've remembered the session, which it didn't.

 

i still use firefox...opera doesn't have great support sometimes, and honestly i don't feel much of a difference.

Also, the extensions are a really big factor in why I think Firefox is the best. No other browser has them like Firefox.

Here's your first one. And, I dual boot between Linux and XP, hence that. Surely you can't tell me you haven't stumbled across a site that required an AX object, though - even if you can't run it!

 

And yes, TBone, FF is more secure by a longshot.
