Vordar
I'm trying to set up a 404 Not Found page, but I can't find my htaccess file. When I first started using my cPanel, I disabled the popup asking what directory I wanted to open, which I now know contained the option to show hidden files. Is there a way I can get that popup back/ show hidden files/ find my htaccess file? Thanks!
nyten
I can't find an option to do it directly, but you can modify the configfile ".cpanel/nvdata/optionselect_filemanager":should end with 1:1 ...host.org:1:
Byron
As soon as you open your cpanel, look to the upper right corner for your username. Click the dropdown menu and choose "Reset Page Settings".
Vordar
Thanks, Byron. I was using x3, which did not have that option. Once I switched to paper lantern I found it
Byron
On the x3 theme you'd find it at the bottom of the page.
Vordar
Thanks! I'm really sorry, but now I can't find the file itself... All dotfiles seem to be showing, but I don't see it anywhere. I tried searching for it in 'All my Files' but the search didn't return any results. Is there something I need to do to generate it?

Byron
I'm not seeing an htaccess file for that account. Just create a new one.
