What does it mean?

Hi all,

 

I am very new to this forum and I know very little about the terminology used in forums. But, as I want to learn that I want to ask a question ... what does it mean by 'pinned'? Can anyone please help me to learn & understand?

"pinned" is a term and function used by the forum administrator allowing him/her to pin a topic to the top of the list, or to wherever he pleases to put it.

I'll give more in detail. It makes to to where when someone posts it wont go down under that post.So say like someone posted in a topic under this one, this forum would move under it, the it would keep happening till it was gone from page one...2....3 etc. It also will do that if someone makes a new topic.
