I voted yes. Everyday when I go to school, I have to sit in the back (we have assigned seats) and breathe in the toxic emissions from the engine that is right below me. If all vehicles were required to earn an LEV or ULEV sticker, then everyone would be able to breathe cleaner and healthier air.

well that would mean more money to make better vehicles, public schools money means higher taxis ;)

But would you rather pay more money to live a healthy life? Or pay considerably less and have lung cancer?

good point, i also realise it will save future gas money, if we put down money for better vehicles that use it more effectively.

Yes, if we spend money now, we can save it later. That is why more countries should invest in hydrogen fuel cells, solar energy, hybrid technology, et cetera.

if it is done, there arte rumors in USA gasoline cars will be banned by 2010-2015

Hmm, then perhaps it would be unlikely. Many Americans right now are not rich enough to afford a new car, so I expect people would rebel against the law if it was in fact passed.

it will save the future, so definantly... but what we need to crack down on is lawnmowers... they pollute more than cars(total) because noone sets emmision standards at all for them... they just go with the cheapest.
