The intellect is being influenced. Your mind, will and emotions. Some people (including me) call this the soul.

I don't know. Those are the only influences I can think of that might exist.

Having outside influences doesn't take away your choice. In the end it's still you that decides.

Ok I kind of get what your saying. As long as there is an outside influence then we don't have ABSOLUTE free will. But you sometimes have to fight those influences to make the right choice. I guess it's all in how you look at the term free will.

As far as Inside or outside... it dont mater whare the influences are from... or even if you ant conscious of certain influences such as hormonal changes... influences are continuous... an continuously pushin you (the fight as you call it) toward the choices you eventualy make... choices which are based on the groop of influences that was the strongest at the time.!!!

Well regardless of how strong they maybe, saying "The Devil Made Me Do It!" or "I Had No Control Over My Actions" usually won't get you out of punishment in a court of law.

For sure... an incarceration can be necessary for the benefit of society as a whole... but all to often incarceration amounts to little more than punishment insted of rehabilitation.!!!
