I bet it's just about what you are used to.

I think they both have their strong points and they both have their weaknesses.

I personally am partial to microsucks but I use macs at school.

You use macs at school, where do you live?

every place here uses windows including me.

It's up to the school that buys the hardware. Schools have a choice in what OS they use. My school has both Macs and Windows PCs

I prefer Linux.

Then you're not dependend from just one company.

Also I like the high security when compared to windows

If you wanted security, you should run OpenBSD or FreeBSD. It has higher security because it's used even less than Linux.

Windows is just the most popular, more applications and tools exist for it, so there are more chances for doing something cool. :P

I prefer Windows, I'm used to it and i like it, also I have never tried a mac.

I used a mac for the first time a few days ago, I must say the most impressive thing was that the cpu was installed in the monitor. I would go with windows. I want to try out linux on a old computer soon though.

which is 'better' is a fishy question because I think it depends what one is about to do with a computer.

windows PC's are surely more spread and all that ...

but with OX Tiger on the Mac the Mac gets very compatible for applications ....

dunno ... I'd stick with my Mac. It's secure - reliable - WAY faster than a PC ... melike :)
