chesnutcase Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Dear Moderators/Admins of Heliohost, Ever since the recent upgrade of cpanel/mysql, I've been unable to access any of my databases or open phpMyAdmin.I've read the news post that suggested deleting the database and recreating them from backups, but unfortunately I didn't make any.The news post suggested that I create a thread here so here I am. cPanel username: nutcaseMain domain: chesnutcase.heliohost.orgAffected databases: nutcase_general, nutcase_vca (All are MyISAM databases)Affected users: nutcase_general, nutcase_vca I understand that you guys might be having a tough time dealing with the large number of users having this problem. I have hundreds of records in these databases with no backups at all (sorry for this) and they are fairly important to me. I apologise for creating extra work for you guys, and sincerely thank you for your time. Yours sincerely, chesnutcase
paladox2014 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hi please see message here http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/21757-mysql-database-not-connecting/ at bottom to fix the problem.
chesnutcase Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 All the other posts here (including the one you linked) suggested to delete your databases and recreate them from a backup. I already mentioned I did not save a backup. I would like an admin's help on this. The news post said (or implied) this can only be fixed by the admins. Changing passwords as some other users suggested did not work. The databases show up as zero size under manage sql databases in cpanel.
paladox2014 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 No they are talking about deleting the user that you assign to the database deleting the user dosent affect the database. you then just re create user and re assign it to the database.
