10techieseek Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 don't use mysql user 'root'.use the mysql user you created in cpanel along with the password you gave it. The Mysql Server is up and running now. Some observations and questions for future reference: I have been using the Stevie MySQL server every day for about a fortnight and daily been getting Error #2002. This is the first time I've seen code #1045. Is it true that when you create a Mysql user to use a particular database than automatically that user with access will be selected when clicking on phpMyAdmin from cPanel and than clicking on the database? What causes user 'root' to be used for a database rather than a user you have assgined for the database? Can you select from within phpMyAdmin what user you want to use a particular database?
