souravndp Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Hello sir here is a problem I facedduring adding a new addon domain.I want to use cloudflare. (a servicewhich caches your website contentand serves them also when yourwebsite is offline). so, I pointed myoriginal new domains dns entry tocloudflare's dns and I addedheliohost's dns entry in cloudflare. So when a visitor types my domainname, it goes through cloudflare andlands on heliohost if heliohost isonline. otherwise cloudflare servesthe content.***Now the problem is***while adding parked domain inheliohost, Heliohost does some basiccheck about the dns. and when itfinds that my original domains dns isnot directly pointed to heliohost dns,it doesnot allow to add that addondomain. But actually this additionshould be valid as cloudflare'snameserver will eventually redirect toheliohost nameserver. What should I do now? Please help.
Ice IT Support Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 The best and easiest way to get around this is to set your domain to HelioHost's DNS directly and add the domain. Once the domain has been added successfully, you can set your domain back to Cloudflare's DNS.
souravndp Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 I am facing same problem as the following link. @ICE, I see you helped there too.www.helionet.org/index/topic/16505-solved-problems-registering-euorg-domain/I am just using cloudflare instead of clouddns in the above post link. any new suggestion?maybe you check cloudflare to see how they works...That would be very helpful for me. I have set A records of heliohost in my cloudflare dns zone file and still heliohost is giving the same above error in my first post. :-(
