condell Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Some issues with cgi forms. 1. cPanel cgi option lists 2 form options, FormMail and cgiemail. But only cgiemail exists in the Helio root folder for the Helio account I have. Does that mean that FormMail isnt offered? 2. When a domain is added, a cgi-bin folder is added too. Is this redundant if we should be using the cgi-bin folder in the root domain? ....am still in the process of trying to get a form working on my website.....
Byron Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Yes FormMail is offered. I enabled it not long ago. http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/17719-solved-formmail-clone/
condell Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 So why cant I still see FormMail.cgi in my root cgi-bin? All I see is cgiecho and cgiemail and a few other files not related to forms.
Byron Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Because it's not located there. You'll use this as your form action: http://yourdomain.heliohost.org/cgi-sys/FormMail.cgi Don't forget to replace "yourdomain" with your heliohost domain. Or you can just find the url at your cgi center. 1
condell Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 So why can I not see the cgi-sys folder in my cPanel File Manager, even with showing hidden files I still cannot see it anywhere?
Byron Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 That's the way cpanel has set it up. Besides you don't need to see it. 1
