I'm a bit confused by what public-ftp is used for. Is it a common folder for all FTP users under the subdomain, or is it a root folder for a publicly available FTP server? Thanks

This is the directory used for anonymous FTP access. Any files in this directory can be downloaded by anyone if anonymous FTP access is enabled.

 

Check this for Stevie server:

http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/getstarted/intro.html?

 

For Johnny server:

http://johnny.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/getstarted/intro.html?
