I am enquiring about the purchase of SSL.

I know that if I want to have SSL, I will have to pay $12 USD.

 

Questions:

1: Is it for 1 year, or forever?

2: Is it a Shared SSL or Private SSL?

2) The SSL certificate will only be valid for your IP-address (=Private).

The $12 fee is for the IP address required by private SSL certificates. The certificate must be purchased somewhere else, and the price and expiration varies by provider.
