[Answered] Two Mail Servers Associated With A Single Domain Name

Hi,

 

I was wondering if it is possible to configure 2 mail servers on the same hostname.

 

My domain is hosted at heliohost and i want to use the heliohost mail server for certain email usernames, and another mail server for the remaining user accounts.

 

For eg:

 

abc@mydomain.com should be with heliohost

 

xyz@mydomain.com should point to another mail hosting service

 

The mail server should be resolved based on the email account (username)

 

How do i configure this in cPanel or otherwise. Is it possible?

DNS-wise, all mail is directed to one server or another. It's then up to the receiving server to direct mail. Unless there is another email provider that provides that functionality, it's not currently possible as far as I know. The closest thing HelioHost offers is forwarders.
