Byron Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Are you able to login to your cpanel from the home page? How are you pointing your domain to our servers?
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 1. I can't.2. I don't know now. I've got e-mail from HelioHost: Dear lukpta, Your hosting account at HelioHost has been suspended for inactivity. In order to keep your account active you must log into your control panel at least once every 30 days. The last time you logged into your account was 2013-09-18. All visitors to your domain(s) will now see a suspended page instead of your original content. If you still wish to continue using your hosting account you can reactivate it by visiting this page http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/renew and providing your username in the box. To prevent your account from being suspended again for inactivity in the future, please remember to log into your account http://heliohost.org/ at least once every 30 days. If you have any problems with the reactivation process you can find support on our forums http://helionet.org/ Regards,HelioHost Staff
Byron Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Your account is showing Active now. Go here and scroll down to the bottom and try to login for me: http://www.heliohost.org/home/ How did you point your domain name to our servers?
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Your account is showing Active now. Go here and scroll down to the bottom and try to login for me: http://www.heliohost.org/home/I can now.But... I have a new problem. When I was open my webpage I can see information:Can not find server or You cannot view this page. What do you mean about question: How did you point your domain name to our servers?
Byron Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Your domain name "lukaszptak.uni.me" needs to point to our servers. When you acquired that domain name, how did you associate it with heliohost? Most people use our nameservers to point their domain to us: ns1.heliohost.orgns2.heliohost.org I just checked and your domain isn't working. You'll need to purchase this domain (lukaszptak.uni.me) before it will work. Otherwise you can use a heliohost sub domain like this: lukaszptak.heliohost.org
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Oh, right. I have the same settings. I'm sure.I have this webpage over the 1,5 month. Until this day everything was ok.
kyoushuu Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Checked http://www.getfreedomain.name/domain/uni.me and saw that: Special Conditions: Domains are automatically deleted after 10 days without traffic. That's probably the reason.
Byron Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Seems your domain name provider is down: http://www.getfreedo...e/domain/uni.me --------------- Thanks for the info kyoushuu!
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 :/ I hope that tommorow will be ok, and this problem is only today.
kyoushuu Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I suggest you move on a different domain provider because:uni.me doesn't seem to be indexed by Google. Go to https://www.google.com.ph/search?q=site:uni.me and you'll see that there are no search results.Seems like two weeks ago, uni.me stopped providing free domains: http://www.getfreedomain.name/domain/uni.me#comment-3022041Their main site, http://uni.me, is currently down.Domains are automatically deleted after 10 days without traffic. There are lots of other free domain providers out there, there is a good list at http://www.getfreedomain.name. I suggest you use a .tk (which is what HelioHost recommends: http://www.heliohost.org/home/features/domains), .ml, .cf or .ga domain name, which are free, real TLDs, but requires your site to have at least 25 visits per 90 days. You could register them at http://www.freenom.com. There is an existing topic about this in HelioNet.org, at http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/10478-list-of-free-domain-providers/. There are more info there on how to find free domain providers. And if you could pay for it, buying your own domain is probably the best option
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I just do what you say - I buy domain. But I have a problem now. I don't know how to delete my old domain: lukaszptak.uni.me, and add new: lukaszptak.pl. I don't want to delete my webpage of course. I want to open my webpage at the new domain.Could you help me? I'm not a professional webmaster, so I want to point by point instructions.
kyoushuu Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I don't know where you bought your domain so I'll give instructions for Freenom (provides .tk, .cf, .ml and .ga) and CU.CC (provides .cu.cc), which seems the two most popular free domain provider: For Freenom:Login at http://www.freenom.com (there is a Login My Freenom in the upper right)In the menu (below the "freenom" logo), click Domain PanelSelect "Modify" in the right of the domain you registered and you want to useThere are three options, click the last one which is Custom DNSIn "Host Name" column, put "ns1.heliohost.org" (without the quotes!). Leave "IP Address" column empty.Click "Add New"In the new row, in "Host Name" column, put "ns2.heliohost.org" (without the quotes!). Leave "IP Address" column empty.Click "Save Changes" buttonIt should be the same if you directly registered in http://my.dot.tk, http://www.point.ml, http://www.my.cf or http://www.my.ga instead of in Freenom which merges all four ccTLDs they offer. For CU.CC:Go to http://www.registry.cu.cc/index.php then login on your accountA list wil show up saying "Your account highlights:". Click "Registered Domains: 1" below it (the number depends on how many domains you registered)On the row of the domain you want to use and in the "Manage" column, click the pencil iconIn the options that will show up, click "Nameserver"Put "ns1.heliohost.org" (without the quotes!) into the first text boxPut "ns2.heliohost.org" (without the quotes!) into the second text boxClick "Update" buttonThat's basically what http://www.heliohost.org/home/features/domains says. After you do one of the above (or something similar if you don't use Freenom nor CU.CC), you have to fix HelioHost's side:Go to http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/domainPut your username, password, and desired domain to the text boxes, in that same orderClick "Change domain"After a few hours, a page that says "HelioHost Account Queued" will probably show up when you try to access your domain. After about 24 hours, it should successfully show the pages of your website. Make sure to clear your cache before reloading the page. By the way, I'm not a professional webmaster either
Guest lukaszptak Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I just do it, what you said BTW... my domain is from 1&1.I hope my old adress will be redirecting to the new.
