[Answered] "pwd Protexct Dir" Causing "page Not Found"

Hi,

 

I tried to protect a directory with the "Password Protect Directories" Manager in cpanel, but it doesn't work. My browser returns "Page cannot be found"

 

I didn't install Frontpage Ext. (so it's disabled) and checked the htaccess in my dir to protect as well as the passwd in .htpasswds. I also followed the two steps in cpanel (first name the directory, click "save" and then create the user).

 

I'm really stumped now :(/&--#62;

Problem seemed to be the htaccess from wordpress. After moved wordpress from public_html/ to public_html/wp/, the password protection is working!
